There really is no stopping Mary! Mary Berry & Lucy Young Cook up a Feast, written by Mary Berry and Lucy Young, is out now! (published 02 August 2010, Dorling Kindersley). Lucy has been working with Mary at Watercroft for 20 years this Spring. Well done Lucy! And we are very excited that Lucy is engaged to lovely Peter...what a year it will be!
We have been busy updating our website, with new photos and new recipes. Please keep logging on because we have some exciting new launches from Mary Berry & Daughter, and we would love you to try them!
At Watercroft, the kitchen has been transformed (as seen in Beautiful Kitchens Magazine, March 2010) by the brilliant design of Mike Taylor from Designers of Knightsbridge (Mary Berry case study). Whilst we wanted to keep some of the original features, we felt the kitchen needed updating, after 20 years of wear and tear and running the cookery courses. The Aga has of course stayed in pride of place, a few scratches and marks are all part of its charm, and after 20 years is working as perfectly as ever. We have also re-fitted Lucy's test kitchen which is next to Mary's so they are in the same style and the storage is made to measure. This was a key feature of each kitchen that each drawer, cupboard and shelf was made bespoke for our needs.
We are all ready for 2010 and hope it continues to be a success and thank you for all your continual support over the years.
